Sr. UX designer on T-mobile

This was a very effective use of the power of a mobile network. When a user opens the ‘My Account’ app on the particular device using CSS3 we can present the correct information of that specific account on the fly. In this slide is showing how I designed 3 different options depending on what kind of plan the user has. Each button has an upgrade path. This was all done in CSS so it's fast and relevant to the particular user with no login needed.

User problem/objective

To design a super fast and responsive site that would look great on all devices and give T-Mobile customers a quick and easy way to view their usage pay their bill and upgrade as necessary.

My personal course of action

Being a new product I really had a blank canvas in the web mobile app space as opposed to the native app world. This approach was an obvious solution due the the amount of devices T-Mobile had to support. I went directly into understanding the back end systems of the project to find the ‘limitations’ of the systems, meet with the development team, and all people involved. I then went right into designing multiple solutions and after 3-4 solid rounds of prototypes this was the final output.

Results/project outcome

Sr. Management was very happy with final design solution and the product went straight into production. I’m happy to have designed a solid solution that fit the need for the customers and T-Mobile alike. This project was essential to set the stage for further development of future native app development.
